Top 10 Conference Highlights
Here's the next part of our Top 10 Series to celebrate EweMove Turning 10 this year.
This month's article had to focus on our Top 10 Conference Highlights as we officially started our 10th Birthday celebrations on Friday 31st March at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole with over 250 franchisees and suppliers.
In no particular order because the whole day, evening awards ceremony and afterparty event were all great here is our conference Top 10!
1) Crowning our newest Franchise of the Year.
The team from Beeston, Long Eaton & Sandiacre has won the coveted Franchise of the Year title! Having come very close in the past it was high time this dynamic team won. If you haven't seen them on social media, search EweMove Beeston on Facebook to see how they leverage video to really showcase their properties, promote the brand locally, and help customers get to know their all-star team.
2) Seeing so many franchisees all together.
The annual conference is the only time we really see how much the flock is growing! It's great to see old and new faces coming together.
3) A special guest speaker.
Our headline speaker, Jez Rose is a broadcaster, TV presenter, award-winning writer and behaviour insight advisor renowned for his energy and humour, and passion for our natural environment. His highly acclaimed presentations focus on human development, change and encouraging organisations to put people at the heart of their business strategies. His presentation was thought-provoking and hugely entertaining.
4) Creating a piece of EweMove history.
With this year's event being our 10th we wanted to create a keepsake, so all attendees were asked to sign a bespoke piece of wall art which we'll frame and hang at The Sheep Pen Head Office.
5) Insightful presentations from other speakers and franchisees.
The day event also included updates and presentations from EweMove's MD Nick Neill, The Property Franchise Group CEO Gareth Samples, EweMove's Head of Marketing Sarah Makin and a franchisee Best Practice session. Plus two other presentations one delivered by our digital agency partner iProspect, about the next 10 years of media, and another from Google’s Product Marketing Manager Fabrice Pradel with his take on the future of marketing and the power of AI. It really was a packed agenda!
6) Our supplier partners
Attending the event we had 18 of our supplier partners with us on the day. EweMove's philosophy with suppliers is to work with a small number of suppliers that we can truly partner with, many of the 18 suppliers who joined us to meet and catch up with franchisees have worked with us for many years and without their support, EweMove wouldn't be what it is today.
7) The party bags!
It wouldn't be a party without a party bag and this year we had two! One was a branded tote bag given to franchisees on arrival so they could collect lots of goodies from the suppliers and the second was a bit of fun - including, cake, fizz, a birthday card and an exclusive event pin badge.
8) The red carpet drinks reception
After the day conference event closes, everyone goes to change for the glamourous black-tie awards event which starts with photos on the red carpet followed by a drinks reception.
9) The awards ceremony
Many of our franchisees work on their own so the annual awards ceremony is a wonderful way to recognise success and take a moment to celebrate. We had 39 awards in total to hand out on the night and it's fantastic to see everyone's hard work paying off.
10) The afterparty!
After the awards ceremony, we headed to a VIP afterparty in an exclusive bar at the hotel. Lots of dancing to end the night and round off a fantastic day! EweMovers know how to have a party!
