Before taking the plunge and launching his own EweMove franchise in North Devon, Russell Burrington worked as a valuer and negotiator at two high street estate agencies.

Fed up of the pay and ready to go out on his own, Russell decided to take on a EweMove franchise, and it was EweMove’s unique position in the marketplace that compelled him to take action:

“I realised the only way to make good money was to go out and do it for myself so I started looking at franchises. I also wanted to make my family proud and show my daughter that you if you work hard you can achieve.

Whilst Russell knew the industry like the back of his hand, some of the business building tasks were new to him, which made the support EweMove gave him invaluable:

“Everything that EweMove does is to help you achieve. The support and tools provided are out there for you to do what you do best - signing up instructions! I am approaching my 1 year anniversary and I have signed up 72 listings, a strong £148,428 of business.

And the best bit is that I know there is more to come. The head office team are always coming up with new innovating ideas to create new business, and they always involve franchisees to make sure all new processes convert to listings.

Regular meetings are always in the diary for franchisees to share good practice and to help build the brand.

I’ve now expanded my original territory and have a team working with me. I’m excited about where we can take this.”
